Site work has begun for the Valley Suburban development site along Business Route 30 and Airport Road, next to the Valley Township Municipal Complex. The contractor will be blasting for rock in the northern portion of the site, beginning on Monday, February 21st. Blasting activity will continue into March, will occur during the work week between 10 AM and 2 PM.
Due to the presence of the Williams TRANSCO gas pipeline which crosses the site, the blasting charges must be small to avoid damage to the pipeline. The concussion from these blasts should be confined within a 500-foot radius of the blast location, although some vibration may be felt outside this area.
Questions pertaining to this process should be directed to Peter Kirstner of Trinity Drilling and Blasting at (610) 352-3954.

A MESSAGE FROM PECO:
We have seen an increase in reports of payment scams in your area. These scammers are contacting PECO customers and falsely claiming their electric or gas service will be disconnected unless payment is made immediately. These scammers use tactics such as “spoofing” to manipulate the Caller ID phone number displayed on your phone so that it appears to be a PECO phone number.
PECO will never demand immediate payment, nor will we ever require one specific form of payment, such as a prepaid card or digital currency. Do not pay on-site for services, PECO employees will never ask for or demand cash payments or personal banking information in-person. You should never provide anyone access to your home who claims to be from PECO, or a contractor working for PECO, unless the person has proper identification.
For more information on payment scams and what you can do to keep your information safe, visit peco.com/scams. If you are ever suspicious of a caller claiming to be from PECO, hang up and call us directly at 1-800-494-4000.
